THE TJF NEWSLETTER - APRIL 2007 Edition 2

This Summer TJF is launching a Brand New website called www.traininginthepark.com providing an array of group outdoor exercise classes which will prove to be the perfect fitness alternative for those of you who don’t want to be stuck in your dingy basement gym all Summer!

INTRODUCTON
To celebrate the launch of TraininginthePark.com, this month we give you an insight into Circuit Training - one of the first classes we will be launching.

ARTICLE - WHAT IS CIRCUIT TRAINING?
Circuit Training is the utilization of a group of 6 to 10 strength exercises that are completed one exercise after another. Each exercise is performed for a specified number of reps or time before moving on to the next exercise. The exercises within each circuit are separated by timed rest periods and each circuit is separated by a longer rest period. The total number of circuits performed may vary from 2 to 6 depending on the group fitness level.

Circuit Training is great for building a lean body as it utilises resistance exercise and as we know, resistance exercise is a much more effective way to increase your lean muscle mass and subsequently reduce your body-fat levels. Resistance work can also improve tendon and ligament strength and increase bone density - effects which should help to lower injury rates. In addition, resistance workouts heighten body awareness, upgrade coordination and improve self-esteem levels; all of which can contribute to improved performance during competition.

The greatest thing about Circuit Training is that you need no equipment - our new TraininginthePark.com classes will give you a great functional workout by making you move your body in a full ranges of motion and utilizing your core musculature.

Now Summer is approaching fast and with the weather getting better by the day the prospect of being outdoors is becoming far more appealing again. So why not consider adapting your workout routine to incorporate some of our new outdoor exercise classes? Stay tuned to www.traininginthepark.com for more information!
